Your Thief Buster protected computer will give voice warnings and start a loud alarm noise if someone tries to disconnect it from the power cord or closes the lid. Using the power cord is not necessary, but recommended. While it is armed Thief Buster continuously takes photos with the built in Webcam, so if someone disconnects or closes the lid it automatically sends the owner an email with a few pictures taken prior to the trigger event. The alarm can be disabled by simply entering your password. Note: When the lid is closed, the computer enters (forced) sleep mode, which sometimes prevents the email being sent. If the lid is opened again it tries to send another alarm message if network is still available.
